Biography

Simon came to the U.S. when he was 18 years old as he wanted to getaway from the Russian Army Conscription. He and Caroline livedbetweenZeeland and Wishek until 1910 when they moved to four milesnorth of Medina by wagon and drove their cattle cross country.Theodore was only two months old and slept on a pillow on the treadleof the sewing machine. The other children were born on the farm northof Medina.
