Nathan moved from Nebraska to a farm near Fullerton, North Dakota withhis parents in 1916. He attended rural school and worked on thefamily farm. Nathan entered the United States Army in 1942 and workedasa medic in the Mediterranean during WWII. Following the war, Nathanreturned to the farm and continued farming until his retirement in1975. In 1983 he moved to Oakes, then to the North Dakota VeteransHome in Lisbon in 1999. In 2002 he entered the St. Rose Care Centerin LaMoure where he resided until his death. Nathan was a life memberof the Bean-Goodwin American Legion Post #36 in Oakes where he servedas commander of the Legion Color Guard for several years. Nathan wasnever married.
