Caroline came to the U.S. with her father and little brother. Thebrother was deaf and dumb and got very homesick for his grandparents.He died soon after they arrived in this country. Caroline's dadmarried a woman named Haas, who had been married to a Lang. She hadtwo children, Mrs. Carl Reub and Christ Lang.
Her father and second wife had one son named Adam Lingert.
