MEMORIES:

Brother, Thomas Stroh: "Tim was a young man that everyone loved.Heconducted himself like a master trader/barterer. I can recall oneincident where over a one or two day period (I'm not quite sure) helefthome with a pogo stick which eventually turned into a full set ofgolf clubs, with bag, and then into a 250cc motorcycle that he thenrodehome.

He also left home a couple of times and would appear in Idaho afteracouple of days. This upset the parents quite a lot! I guess we cansum Tim up as a big ship that leaves the harbor and has thecapabilityto go anywhere chosen!"

Sister, Dianne Stroh Barilotti: "Tim had a free spirit. He lovedadventure. I remember what a great baseball player he was. He wasknown for his switch hitting and everyone wanted him on their team."

Sister, Denice Stroh Hayashi: "Timmy was special because he was theyoungest. When he was little he always stood out with his white hairand easy smile. He had a way of getting his sisters to do things forhim. He collected old pennies and loved to read the World BookEncyclopedia; especially the section about snakes. If you couldn'tfind the"S" volume it was usually in his bedroom. He also loved tohave nightly snacks in his bedroom. On Saturday mornings whencleaning his room you would find all the cereal bowls under his bedwith dried up milk, ice cream or jello. What a loveable stinker!"

Sister, Deborah Stroh Powers: "Timmy was a bit of a maverick in asmuch as he was adventuresome and curious. Being the baby of thefamily, he had to "fight" for his niche with all the siblings. Iremember his love for motorcycles and how he loved to ride. He surelyleft this world before his time."

Cousin, Eric Hallerud: "I have vague memories of Tim and mybrother,Olaf hanging out together at the 1968 gathering for Grandmaand Grandpa's 50th wedding anniversary. I recall staying at the farmduring that visit and John Ulmer and I tagged along after them. Theyhad a supply of firecrackers and bottle rockets and we watched in aweas they experimented with blowing things up! We were all shocked andsaddened to hear of Tim's death."

Aunt Gertrude Ulmer Anderson: "I knew Tim almost from the moment hewas born in Aberdeen, South Dakota. I had gone along on the trip toAberdeen and took care of Tommy at the movies while Ted was at thehospital with Anne and the three girls stayed at the farm inFullerton. We sat through two showings of "Scaramouche" waiting forTim's appearance into the world. When Anne came home from thehospital I was thereat the house to help with the new baby. Iremember just where his crib was located in his parents' bedroom.From the time he was little he was nicknamed, "Me Me". Don't knowexactly how he got that title, but probably some little one's attemptto say "Timmy". I missed him when they moved to Arizona, thenCalifornia and didn't get to see much of him. Tim was my Godchild andI still have the card he sent me as his sponsor when he was confirmed. He wrote a note on the back asking if I wanted a copy of hisconfirmation essay entitled, "What Jesus Means to Me." How sad that Inever got around to answering his card and accepting his offer. Istill have the confirmation card that I intended to send and it bringstears to my eyes now to have been so remiss in writing. I hope heforgave me!"
